Originally aged in Japanese Mizunara Oak casks, further aging in Knob Creek Rye barrels adds a bold and spicy character that perfectly complements the complexity of the Mizunara cask-aged whisky. The rye casks bring out the sharper spice notes of black pepper, herbs, and the vanilla of American oak, while the Mizunara lends the signature incense like spice that leans more cardamom, clove, and even a hint of floral character.
